Jack was born with a large hole in his heart which was repaired in China when he was 16 months old. A few weeks after we brough him home we saw a pediatric cardiologist, who was able to get an EKG done and not much else because poor Jack completely freaked out. The doctor recommended that we come back in 6 months when Jack would be more acclimated to his new life. He didn't think there were any issues but wanted to do an echocardiogram to make sure.
So on Thursday we went back and Jack was just amazing. They put one of his favorite movies ("Cars") on a screen and he lay quietly while they did the echocardiogram. And...drum roll please....based on the test results, everything is just fine and we don't have to come back for 4 years - yes, 2013. The doctor was very pleased with his growth in the last few months and how active he is.
What a blessing to know that everything is okay!
