Afternoon on Cooper Mountain

On September 13th some friends and all five of us are doing a walk to benefit Pancreatic cancer, the awful disease that took the life of our friend Mike. The walk is going to be in a state park south of here. We've been trying get some practice in with the kids and today we went the Cooper Mountain Nature Park. It opened just this last June and has beautiful views and nice paths. It was a little warmer out than we'd thought so the whining started about halfway through the walk. Annie in particular hates hot weather. She comes from a hot and humid part of China but immediately became a true Pacific Northwesterner when she got here and loves the rain (like her mom).

Luckily the nice play park at the end of the trail helped restore the good moods and the day turned out to be a lot of fun.

Great bunch of pictures and it looks like it's a super 'kid place' - I'd say 'cool' - but don't want to run the risk of offending the DD! :)

hugs - aus and co.

I prefer the end of the trail on any hard walk, I am afraid :)!
