The Great Train Adventure

Okay, so it was just an afternoon on the local mass transit system, but it was fun anyway. We spent a few Family Day hours riding the train from a little out past our house to the western end of the line. We stopped downtown for a bit and wandered around the Square, then hopped back on and ended up in Hillsboro, about 25 miles from our house. After lunch there, we took it back home. The kids really enjoyed it and I enjoyed it much more than I did when I had to commute on it every day. And it's not a bad way to spend $20 for an afternoon's entertainment. And we provided entermtainment to people on the train as the kids danced around and Annie "surfed" on the articulated section of the floor (the part that allows for the train to go around curves).

Today was actually kind of nice out so there are some pictures of the kids at the park on this slideshow too.

MESSY HAIR DISCLAIMER: Both girls have decided they want to grow their bangs out. It's been weeks already and their bangs are definitely longer, but we have a long way to go before they get long enough. In the meantime, no matter what I do, their hair looks messy within a few minutes.
